Sharon Armstrong Sharon has a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling from National Louis University. She is a Certificate Clinical Trauma Professional and a Nationally Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist. Sharon goes by the title “Body Coach” because of her 30 year of experience in the field of massage and bodywork. Sharon Armstrong was introduced to the western practice of body manipulation through the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas, the Eastern teachings of touch from China, Japan and Korea and the energy studies of Reiki and Healing Touch. Sharon’s eclectic blend of these teachings has enriched her practice of massage and bodywork for over 30 years. She's done advanced personal growth work with Woman Within, Inward Journey and Path To Spirit organizations. She is the proud mother of three lovely children and she resides in Glenview, Illinois.
Sharon combines four western techniques, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofacial Release, Neuromuscular Massage and Structural Integration with the energetic flow of Oriental Medical Five Element System in a process she developed called, MyoStructual Manipulation Process. She uses process as a means of directing, challenging and balancing your body to obtain what Sharon calls “a felt sense of coming home and feeling comfortable in your body/house”
Sharon’s touch is from The Source of deep centeredness and knowing. She combines her innate gift and passion for learning about life to provide that space where your body can experience its optimal health. A massage from Sharon goes beyond simple touch - she connects personally to your body at a deep, intuitive level, letting YOUR body guide her to its own healing.
Sharon’s personal mission is to re-establish in community the safe sense of physical and verbal touch. She provides the bridge for your healing through the combination of intuitive touch and deep listening.
